My reflection blog this week is to review the INSEAD video on Self-Managed Work Teams and reflect on some of the benefits and drawbacks of self-managed teams. I have been blessed to work in many types of industries from insurance, estate planning, writing computer software videos, military and my current career within aerospace. Not one of the industries were the same, but if you were good at your craft you were automatically in that zone of being self-managed. There are benefits and drawbacks of self-managed teams and although I prefer to be on a self-managed team there are a few characteristics you must have to be a good leader.
